Hello!
My name is Getter Meresmaa. I am an actress based in Tallinn, Estonia. I have studied acting in Viljandi Culture Academy, which I graduated in 2017 and since then have been working in Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences where my daily work consists of bringing stories to different people across all ages.
In 2024 I graduated BA in Social Work in Tallinn University. The studies have given me a whole new perspective and have influenced me in my acting career as well. My most important works have so far stayed on stage one of them being the lead as a narrator in Duncan Macmillan’s solo play “Every Brilliant Thing” for which I (along with my colleagues who worked on it) received an Estonian Theatre Award in 2023.
I am interested in working in theatre and film. I love to use the creative fields as an opportunity to bring awareness on social issues and the world around us. I believe that the arts and the stories we tell have a chance to make a difference by being a place for dialogue and by helping people reflect on their own lives.
